Why did you decide to become involved with the Chinese Bridge Project?:
My interest in the Chinese Bridge Project stemmed from the architectural, engineering, and cultural implications of studying Ancient Chinese Building Methods. The importance of understanding the development of building methods throughout history is paramount to the design world, and the Rainbow Bridge possesses a construction method that is uncommon today. I find this type of study to be an important part of the development of contemporary design ideas, as the American and Chinese cultures approach design issues with two very different methods.
